1993
Expansion into the former East Bloc into Czechoslovakia and Romania.

1994
Dräxlmaier wins out over international mega-suppliers in a concept competition. The task of designing, manufacturing and delivering the entire cockpit for the Mercedes-Benz CLK (C208) makes Eldra a system supplier of interiors.

1995
Fritz Dräxlmaier, Sr. dies 80 years of age. The company loses one of "Lower Bavaria's most prominent entrepreneurs" in the words of Minister of Economics August R. Lang.

1996
Establishment of DAA Draexlmaier Automotive of America in Duncan/Spartanburg, SC. DAM Draexlmaier Automotive de Mexico in Reynosa takes up operations near the Texas border in the same year.

1997
"Firmengruppe Dräxlmaier" is rechristened "Dräxlmaier Group" "(DRX)". The company wins a concept competition sponsored by BMW for the E65 door module as a "Functionally Integrated System" (FIS). The FIS order for the BMW 7 Series is the first design order for a door module. An order for FIS center consoles follows soon thereafter. Both modules for the BMW 7 Series are manufactured just in sequence and delivered to the OEM line in Dingolfing.

Bavarian Minister President Dr. Edmund Stoiber, Lieutenant Governor Dr. Friedrich Giehl and Finance Minister Erwin Huber visit Vilsbiburg.
